Several new smart phones are market-ready or already on sale. First up is Sony Ericsson’s W900i, which comes free with contract. It is the first 3G Walkman phone, its system for transferring music from PC to phone is extremely simple, playback is strong and the handset’s rotating front is very efficient. The up and coming Nokia N91 will be a true music-lover’s phone. With a 4GB hard drive, take the phone and leave your iPod at home.
The sound quality is extremely good and it is easy to add tracks. The3Samsung i300 is priced at £379.99 price point, an affordable deal for what is offered. It comes with a 3GB hard drive and has plenty of room for or photographs on board. That’s enough for 1,000 tracks, again, you can leave your PC at home. The camera on board is 1.3 megapixel, which will do the job.
The Samsung Z320i, another free with contract offer, features i-mode, the one-button link to a mobile internet service. Here you can get news, downloads, e-mail and other information. The Samsung Z540, also freewith contract is a great phone with a lot of power. It can stream video clips, make video calls and transfer data at almost broadband speeds, a 1.3-megapixel camera and a lot of photo memory.
Not every network supports every phone so make sure before purchase you double-check if your network will support the new device.
